What is Superstudio Video Editor?

Video Editor is Superstudio’s built-in editing space, designed for fast, flexible video creation.

In Video Editor you can use Timeline Edit for manual edits or choose a Beat Sync template to auto-sync your visuals to the beat of your track. Move media from your Superstudio Assets directly to the Video Editor, or upload from your device to your project.


Assemble your visuals, sync them to your audio, adjust the speed and add transitions, all inside Superstudio.

Access and Cost:

Beat Sync is free to use with any subscription, trial or day pass.

Timeline Edit is free for all users, including Flex accounts.


What is Beat Sync?

Beat Sync is your shortcut to lightning fast, audio based edits. Choose a template, upload your media, and let the editor sync your visuals to the beat of your track.

With Beat Sync you can:

  • Select from multiple templates to find the perfect match to your audio

  • Set the speed

  • Adjust the beat multiplier for faster or slower edits

  • Choose a transition for your project (Fade, Zoom, Blur or Jump Cut)

  • View and export your video in 1:1, 9:16 or 16:9 aspect ratios

Templates include:

  • High Energy – rapid edits stitched together into a dynamic compilation

  • Cinematic – moody edits with long, lingering shots for a atmospheric vibe

  • Time Skip – multiple cuts from the same video clips. Like a timelapse but better

Steps:

  1. Open the Video Editor and choose Beat Sync.

  2. Choose a template.

  3. Upload audio + visual media from your device or Superstudio Assets. Videos and images will play in the sequence you upload them.

  4. Play back your edit and adjust transitions, speed, and beat multiplier.

  5. Export in your chosen aspect ratio/s.

  • Go back to the previous steps at any time or return to your completed projects to change audio, visuals, templates or settings.

  • Click ‘Edit manually on timeline’ to fine tune your project in Timeline Edit.

Your Beat Sync projects will be saved My Edits. Access through the toolbar on the left of the Video Editor.


What is Timeline Edit?

Timeline Edit is the hands-on editing option. Assemble your audio and visuals, add transitions and adjust clip speeds. It is perfect for projects where you want more control, or to make adjustments to your Beat Sync edit.

With Timeline Edit you can:

  • Connect video clips together

  • Add audio (no limits on track length)

  • Split and trim video clips

  • Add transitions (Zoom, Blur, Fade)

  • Control transition timing

Steps:

  1. Open the Video Editor and choose Timeline Edit.

  2. Upload audio + visual media from your device or Superstudio Assets.

  3. Arrange your clips.

  4. Add transitions and trim clips to fit your audio.

  5. Export in your chosen aspect ratio/s.

Want to make changes? Go back at any time to make changes to previous steps or completed projects.

Your Timeline Edit projects will be saved My Edits. Access through the toolbar on the left of the Video Editor.


Video Editor Media

  • Video: MP4 or MOV, up to 20 MB

  • Images: PNG or JPG, up to 20 MB

  • Audio: MP3 or WAV

    • Beat Sync: up to 100 MB, max 10 minutes

    • Timeline Edit: no limits on audio upload

Aspect Ratios

  • 9:16 – TikTok, Instagram Story/Reel, YouTube Short, Spotify Canvas

  • 16:9 – YouTube Video, Twitter/X Video

  • 1:1 – Instagram Post, Apple Music Artwork

Choose multiple aspect ratios to batch export your project in multiple aspect ratios.

Speed and Performance

Beat Sync processes your media in real time. Adjust speed or transitions and instantly see how they affect your edit.


Uploads

Import clips, images, or audio directly from your device or from your Superstudio Assets.


Accessing the Video Editor

Log in to Kaiber Superstudio. At the top of your Canvas you’ll see a toggle to switch between the Canvas and the Video Editor.


Uploading Media

Click Timeline Edit or Beat Sync to start a project, then drag and drop files into the upload box or directly onto the timeline. Import clips, images, and audio directly from your device or from your Superstudio Assets.


Upscaling

  • Export your project and upscale with Video Upscale in Superstudio Canvas.


Exporting and Saving Projects

Click Export in the top right corner of the Editor. Choose one or more aspect ratios, then click preview and download.

  • No limits on the number of exports

  • All edits are automatically saved in My Edits. Access them through the left side toolbar in the Editor or via View all projects on the Editor homepage.
