Generate Images and Album Art From a Simple Prompt

Nano Banana Pro can handle both detailed prompts and very simple ones. Even with minimal direction, Nano Banana Pro generates strong compositions and readable text. You can generate multiple variations to compare styles and layouts.

Example prompt: An album cover for a punk rock band called “Nuclear Squirrel”, album name “Radioactive Rampage”

Use Reference Images for More Control

To guide composition and character consistency, add one or more reference images.

Example prompt: An album cover for an indie solo artist called “APRIL BROWN”, the album title is “DAWN”, featuring a sunset on a beach and a close view of the relaxed, composed face of the woman from image 1 gazing into the distance, positioned on the left of the cover, vintage sepia colours.

Nano Banana Pro follows:

  • Character placement

  • Text layout

  • Color palette

  • Scene elements

Resizing and Creating Thumbnails

To resize an image:

  1. Add the generated image back into a new Create Image flow.

  2. Change the aspect ratio in settings.

  3. Use a short prompt such as: Expand horizontally

Media

Or, add more detail into the prompt to guide the generation.

Prompt: Expand horizontally, increase the size of the text and position on the right of the image

Media

This is useful for thumbnails, banners, and platform-specific formats.

Generating Multiple Camera Angles

You can generate multiple views from a single image by changing camera direction in the prompt.

Media

Prompt: glamour photograph of a beautiful woman wearing a bathing suit, laughing, standing in a clear water pool at the base of a waterfall in a rainforest, she flicks her long wet hair up, water droplets spray off it, frozen in motion, dramatic

Example prompts with the original image in the Flow:

  • Close-up of the subject’s face

  • High-angle view

  • Rear high-angle shot

Changing Clothing or Props

To modify clothing or objects:

  1. Add your original image and the reference item (for example, clothing) to the flow.

  2. Describe the change clearly.

Example prompt: A selfie-style image of the woman from image 1 standing on the edge of the pool with the waterfall behind her, wearing the oversized hoodie from image 2.

Creating Image Grids

You can generate grids to showcase variations or products. This works well for lookbooks, merch previews, or concept boards.

Example prompt: In a 3x3 grid, create shots of the woman smiling as she poses to showcase the hoodie. Studio photography with a flat white background.

Combining Multiple Images and Styles

Nano Banana Pro supports complex image combinations and style prompts.

Example prompt:

An aged polaroid photo of the person in image 1 and the person in image 2 hugging with friendly enthusiasm, with the out-of-focus warehouse couches from image 3 in the background, sepia tones.

Editing and Removing Objects

You can use prompts to clean up images by removing unwanted elements or changing expressions.

Example edits:

  • Remove background objects

  • Adjust facial expressions

  • Replace background objects

Edited images can then be added in to the Nano Banana Pro Flow as references for:

  • Storyboards

  • Visual sequences

  • Video generation with keyframe-based models such as MiniMax, Veo, or Wan

Using Annotations for Precise Edits

For more controlled edits, annotate your image and combine it with a prompt.

Example prompt: The girl inside the white outline remains in colour. The rest of the image is black and white. Remove the white outline.

If a generation introduces unwanted changes, adjust the prompt.

Example prompt: The girl inside the white outline maintains the original colour. The rest of the image is black and white. Remove the white outline.
