Modes
Luma Ray 2 Modify has 9 intensity settings grouped into three modes. Each mode has three levels (1β3) for finer control.
Adhere (1β3) Stays close to the original scene structure and motion. Best for subtle changes like retexturing, color grading, or applying light style shifts without altering the core content.
Flex (1β3) A middle ground between subtle and dramatic. Keeps recognizable elements from the original while allowing noticeable stylistic changes. Works well for most creative transformations.
Reimagine (1β3) Gives the AI the most freedom. Best for dramatic, surreal, or entirely new interpretations of the original footage. Characters, environments, and style can shift significantly.
Tips
Use a start image. Guiding the transformation with a start keyframe gives the model a clear visual target. Editing the first frame of your video with Nano Banana Pro is recommended.
Use stable footage. Smooth, steady video works better than shaky handheld clips.
Keep backgrounds simple. Filming against clean or minimal backgrounds helps the AI isolate and preserve the subject.
Describe what you want, not what you don't want. Positive prompts work better than negative ones.
Start with shorter clips. Test your ideas on short videos before committing to longer ones.
Try different modes with the same footage. The same video and prompt can produce very different results at Adhere vs Reimagine.
