Canvas
The Canvas is your playground for ideating, curating, refining, and generating ideas. Add a Flow to the Canvas to get started.
Flows
Flows—short for workflows or creative flows—are how you generate new images, videos and audio.
There are lots of ways to add a Image, Video or Audio Flow to the canvas:
Right click on the canvas to open the Quick Action Menu.
Hover over Kiko to open the Action Menu.
Select Create Image or Create Video from the Canvas Toolbar on the left of the Canvas.
Click on the Home icon in the Canvas Toolbar to explore all tools and add a Flow to the Canvas.
Model Menu
Once you have added a Flow to the Canvas click on the Model Element to open the Model Menu. Scroll through the different models, and select one to add it to the Flow.
Generate Button
The Generate Button at the top of the Flow displays the credit cost for each generation. Clicking the Generate Button starts your creation generating on to the Canvas beside the Flow. Credits are charged for each generation.
Elements
Elements are are individual components that make up a Flow. Every Image, Video and Audio Flow has distinct Elements. Click on Advanced Settings at the bottom of a Flow to see the full range of elements and settings for any model.
Elements in a Flow may include:
Subject: Add reference images and text prompts to convey the subject that you want to generate.
Aesthetic: Add reference images and/or a text prompt to convey the specific aesthetic, or look, that you want to generate (includes Kaiber’s curated range of style aesthetics).
Audio Upload: Upload audio.
Image Details
Aspect Ratio: Choose from a selection of aspect ratios for generated images.
Height: Add in the height requirement for generated images.
Width: Add in the width requirement for generated images.
Video Details:
Aspect Ratio: Choose from a selection of aspect ratios for generated videos.
Height: Add in the height requirement for generated videos.
Width: Add in the width requirement for generated videos.
Seconds: Specify the length of your video in seconds.
Intensity: Select the intensity to control how much change you will see in your video. (available in Flipbook, Video Lab and Video Restyle Flows).
Video Upload (available in Video Restyle 1, Video Restyle 2, and Video Lip Sync Flows).
Start Image & End Image: these images will be the initial and final frame of your video (available in Luma, Luma Ray 2 and Runway Flows).
Custom Model: Use a fine-tuned model to apply a consistent visual style (available in Image Lab 2.0 Flow).
Face: Upload an image of a human face to replicate it in your output (available in Image Lab Flow).
Layout: Add up to three reference images to control the composition of an image—arrange shapes/objects, frame elements, and balance different areas within the image (available in Image Lab Flow).
Stencil: Apply any image as a stencil, mapping its shape directly to a new output. In Superstudio, stencils are controlnets (available in Image Lab and Image Lab 2.0).
Assets
All your generated and uploaded media are stored in your Assets section which you can access through the Toolbar on the left of the Canvas. Drag and drop Assets on to the Canvas or directly into a Flow from your Assets section or your desktop.
Media Node Toolbar
Hover over any Asset on the Canvas to bring up the Media Node Toolbar.
Media Node Toolbar features (left to right):
Create Collection.
Use in Flow.
Edit image (image only).
Frame selector (video only).
Open in full screen.
Download.
Remove from Canvas.
Media Drop Down Menu
Click on the 3 dots on the top right of images, video and audio to access the Media Drop Down Menu.
Media Drop Down Menu features (top to bottom):
Duplicate.
Delete.
Recreate Flow. This will respawn the parent Flow with all prompts and settings on to the Canvas.
Upload Assets
To upload images, video and audio to the Canvas you can:
Click on the Upload Media icon in the Canvas Toolbar
Drag your files to the Canvas, or
Use the upload button in a Flow.
Download Assets
Download Assets directly from the Canvas, Collections and Assets section. The download button will show when you hover over an Asset.
Move
Reposition Flows, Assets and Collections at any time to maintain a clear and organized workspace and optimize your workflows.
To move items on the Canvas:
Click on a single item or select a group of items and drag them along the Canvas.
Select the Move tool in the Canvas Toolbar.
Delete
To delete items from the Canvas:
Individual items: Hover over the Flow, Asset or Collection and click the red X, or select the item and press delete on your keyboard.
Multiple items: Click the Select tool, select the items you want to remove, then press delete on your keyboard.
Whole Canvas: Access Canvas History through the Canvas Menu, press Reset Current Canvas button to clear the entire Canvas.
Recreate Flow
When you have finished with a Flow you can delete it from the Canvas. Want to use it again? Click on the 3 white dots at the top right of any of its Assets and select Recreate Flow. You can also recreate a flow from your Assets section.
Collections
Collections are groups of uploaded or generated images and videos. Creating Collections enables you to organize project media, and to effortlessly move projects between Canvases.
To create a Collection, select one or multiple Assets on the Canvas and click the folder icon. Each Collection you create will appear in your Assets library. Select and drag other Assets into the Collection—there is no limit to how many you add.
When a Collection is on the Canvas you can:
Zoom in and out using the slider at the bottom of the Collection.
Scroll through the Collection use the slider on the right.
Expand a Collection by dragging the corners or edges of the Collection.
Drag Assets on to Canvas to use in Flows.
Rearrange the contents of the Collection.
Name your Collection.
When you’ve finished working with a Collection, minimize it or remove it from the Canvas. Your Collection will be available in Assets and can be added to any Canvas at any time.
Canvas Management
The Canvas Menu is located on the top right of your Canvas.
Here you can:
Name a Canvas.
Duplicate a Canvas.
Delete a Canvas.
Access the auto-saved history of a Canvas.
Share a Canvas.
Use the timestamps in Canvas History to restore the Canvas if you make any unwanted changes.
To work on multiple Canvases open each one in its own browser tab.
