Smart Reframe

Smart Reframe takes an image and resizes it to a new aspect ratio without cropping out what matters. Upload your image, pick the ratio you need, and Smart Reframe analyzes the original and fills in the new edges while keeping the subject intact. 

How it works

Smart Reframe reads your uploaded image, identifies the subject and key elements, reframes the image to match the new aspect ratio. This means a 16:9 hero image can become a 9:16 vertical without losing the subject or feeling stretched.

Where to find it

Three ways in:

• Open Workflows on the dashboard and pick Smart Reframe

• In Canvas, add a Create Image flow to the canvas and choose Smart Reframe from the model menu

• Open the Explore menu in Canvas and pick Smart Reframe

Upload your image

Drop your image into the Reference Image field or click Choose file. Max file size is 20 MB. Smart Reframe is image-only, so there's no prompt to write.

Choose an aspect ratio

Pick from the preset ratios, or set a custom size with Width and Height:

• 16:9 for YouTube

• 1:1 for Instagram

• 4:3 for Instagram

• 3:4 for Instagram

• 9:16 for TikTok, Instagram, Spotify, and Canvas

• Custom

Turn on Lock Aspect Ratio if you want to scale width and height together. Turn it off to set custom dimensions.

Set the resolution

Choose 1K, 2K, or 4K. Higher resolutions take longer to generate and produce larger files. Pick the resolution that matches where the image is going.

Tips

• Use Smart Reframe to repurpose one image across formats. Shoot or generate once, then reframe for YouTube, Reels, and Stories without re-running the whole flow.

• Upload the highest quality version of your image you've got. Smart Reframe has more to work with when the source is sharp.
